The Connecticut Law Tribune awarded Clinton J. Roberts “Gold” for Best Criminal Defense Mitigation expert in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Connecticut Bar Association Criminal Division Panel Member
Clinton J. Roberts has lectured before the county, state and national bar associations regarding mitigation in criminal cases, sentencing and prison advocacy and other criminal justice and related public policy issues.
He was selected as a panel member for the Connecticut Bar Association Criminal Division, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Roberts was approved in the United States District Courts for the 2nd and 3rd Circuits to assist in providing mitigating expertise in cases under the Criminal Justice Act (CJA).
He is a member of the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (National Association of Mitigation Specialists and Sentencing Advocates); and an associate member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. He is also a member of The Sentencing Project in Washington D.C. and a volunteer for the Connecticut Innocence Project.
In 1997 Clint was a contributing editor of the Connecticut Prisoner’s Rights Manual (1997, ed.)
