About Clinton J. Roberts:

We are part of the criminal defense team. Clinton J. Roberts & Associates, Inc., works directly with defense attorneys assisting in the preparation of case strategies and in support of plea negotiations and/or plea agreements. We investigate the client’s background and prepare sentencing memoranda providing mitigating factors to assist defense counsel in arguing for a lesser sentence or alternatives to incarceration.

The firm has a network of professionals with whom we have worked including forensic psychiatrists and psychologists, substance abuse treatment providers, forensic accountants, forensic computer analysts and other experts. Through our work in criminal cases we have also developed expertise in Federal and State prison policy and have worked with defense attorneys advocating for our clients during their terms of incarceration including community release and parole issues.

Education

Clint Roberts is a graduate of Fairfield University (B.A.) and has an advanced degree – Master of Arts Degree (M.A.P.P.) in Public Policy and Law from the Joint Degree Program at Trinity College and University of Connecticut School of Law.

Professional Experience

Clint Roberts has over 25 years of professional experience in the criminal justice system. His professional experience includes being a former Program Director of Pretrial Diversionary Project for Community Resources for Justice in Hartford, CT and a former State of Connecticut Judicial Department Adult Probation Officer specializing in defendant evaluations and as a legislative liaison with the General Assembly Judiciary Committee. In 1988 he founded the private practice – Clinton J. Roberts & Associates, Inc., specializing in criminal defense mitigation providing services to the criminal defense bar in Federal and State cases.
